Started in 2007, Zoosk is a traditional dating app that features modern chat, messenger, an app, and more, with all kinds of members looking for a wide variety of relationships.

Zoosk claims to be the most popular dating site in the world, with more than 40 million users in more than 70 countries.

While a large dating pool is a powerful asset in the world of online dating, Zoosk isn't our top choice for finding love and long-term commitment. Here’s why:

  • Zoosk doesn't use an extensive questionnaire to match daters, so you may have to spend more time searching through incompatible profiles
  • Users complain about low quality of members, including many dead and spam accounts
  • Zoosk is extremely limited unless you are willing to pay — even people's pictures are blurred
Our Zoosk ratings:
  • Member's experience
  • Matches
  • Cost
  • Customer service
3.6

Here’s why we pick eharmony over Zoosk:

  • Responsible for more than 2 million love connections (it’s one of the largest dating apps of its kind)
  • Only major dating app devoted specifically to serious partnership
  • Free basic plan
  • Vetted profiles (so you know you’re talking to a real, unmarried person)
  • According to a study, couples on eharmony are more likely to get married and less likely to get divorced compared to other online dating sites
  • Lengthy questionnaire to help you find compatible matches

Bianca’s Zoosk review

Both eharmony and Zoosk are quality dating sites that rely on computer algorithms to best connect you with the type of romance you’re seeking, and both are used by tens of millions of people around the world.

eharmony has a more extensive startup process that involves a lengthy questionnaire (about 20 minutes long), while you can get started fairly quickly with Zoosk, since it fills in info directly from your Facebook profile.

While Zoosk is an interesting concept, the quality of this site, user experience and user base is low.

It’s frustrating that you cannot interact with other profiles unless you pay. These days, there are so many free dating apps to use, especially the popular ones like Tinder and Bumble.

Also, while Zoosk says it’s the largest dating app in the world, I don’t personally know anyone who uses it.

Bianca Mendez is a dating app expert whose work has appeared in Woman’s Health, Bustle, Latina, Refinery29, and many other publications. She also served as a sex and dating editor at Elite Daily. You can check out her other dating app reviews here.

Our review of Zoosk vs. eharmony

Zoosk is a dating site that appeals to users seeking all types of relationships, while eharmony caters exclusively to the serious-minded dater looking for a committed relationship, love, and possibly marriage.

Zoosk has many cons, however — including reports of fake profiles and a lack of free features. We recommend checking out any of the other quality dating sites and apps, including our top pick: eharmony.com. Here’s why:

  • eharmony requires all users complete a lengthy online survey of more than 150 questions that helps the algorithm understand your values, passions, hobbies, dating and relationship goals, and personality.
  • No need to scroll through endless profiles. Complete the test, select a membership level (including a free level), and eharmony will send daily matches by email, with whom you can engage.
  • eharmony assigns a human to verify that each member is indeed who he or she says they are — virtually eliminating catfishing, spam, and other sleazy behavior.

Wait! Before you meet in person, you can run your date's name through a site like TruthFinder, which will pull all online public records on the person and compile them into an easy-to-read report.

eharmony then sends you daily emails with 5-7 matches of potential dates, based on how each person responded to the survey questions. You can then examine these matches’ profiles to help you decide whether you would like to communicate further.

eharmony.com is free for the basic level, which allows you to:

  • View your personality test results
  • Receive partner suggestions
  • Send smiles and likes
  • Upload photos

eharmony price vs. Zoosk cost

eharmony’s dating cost is competitive with other dating sites. There are three membership levels to choose from.

As of September 2025, eharmony costs per month vs. Zoosk:

eharmony (Premium Light plan)Zoosk
Free basic plan$0$0
1-month plann/a$29.95
3-month plann/a$59.95
6-month plan$64.90/month$65.99
12-month plan$39.90/month$89.99
24-month plan$29.90/monthn/a

Although Zoosk is less expensive than eharmony, you will likely have to spend more time searching through incompatible profiles.

Zoosk is preferable for those who do not want to complete a comprehensive questionnaire and for those looking for something casual.

Conclusion: Zoosk or eharmony—which is better?

One of the best reasons to use eharmony is its compatibility survey. The site sends you a list of daily matches based on your individual responses, which go beyond likes and dislikes into the qualities you desire in a match.

While Zoosk is less expensive, you do get what you pay for. If you are seeking a financially secure partner, eharmony’s higher price indicates that daters there can afford the premium price tag.

With 40 million members, there are bound to be some complaints. Keep reading to learn more about how Zoosk works, and why we recommend you check out other dating apps first.

How does Zoosk work?

Zoosk was one of the first dating apps Facebook allowed to integrate with its platform and uses your social media profile to quickly and accurately build you a dating profile — as well as match you with compatible dates.

Zoosk uses its behavioral technology to predict the kind of people you’d want to interact with by using your social media interests and tendencies to accept and reject different types of people.

For example, if Zoosk’s algorithm finds you consistently match with dog lovers, or those who live within a 20-mile radius, Zoosk will “learn” that about you, and make relevant connections — opposed to putting all the pressure on you to guess with a swipe left or swipe right.

Zoosk automatically pulls information from your social media profiles — like your age and where you're from. All you have to do is choose which photos you want to use and write a short bio about yourself and what you're looking for in a match.

You can always choose to omit specific personal information, too. Don’t want to include your income or industry? Not a problem on Zoosk.

Zoosk uses what it calls SmartPick to evaluate how compatible you are with other Zoosk members. SmartPick uses Behavioral Matchmaking technology and works by recording the profiles you like and those you don’t. Your vote, which you indicate by clicking a heart or an X on a profile, remains private from a potential match unless you both like each other.

When you do, you both match and can begin sending messages and chatting (as long as you’re both paid subscribers). Zoosk does offer subscribers an option to upgrade to Premium Messaging.

With Premium Messaging, members can reply to your messages without subscribing, allowing seven times more people to respond to your messages.

Because Zoosk keeps track of your preferences, the matches Zoosk compiles for you should theoretically become more accurate, the more you use it. So it pays to use the site frequently to achieve the best results.

This is what the Zoosk interface looks like:

Zoosk review interface example.

How much does Zoosk cost?

As of September 2025, if you chose to upgrade from the free version, Zoosk offers a one-month subscription for $29.95 per month and a three-month subscription for one payment of $59.95, which is about $19.98 per month.

There’s also a six-month membership for a one-time payment of $65.99 ($11.00 per month) and a one-year membership for $89.99 ($7.50 per month). With each Zoosk subscription, you receive the same perks, but for more extended periods.

Is Zoosk free?

You can use Zoosk for free, but without paying for the platform, your options will be limited. However, there is a way to get started at no cost to you.

Is Zoosk sign up free?

Zoosk sign up is free, but you can’t do much without a paid membership, which starts at $11.66 per month for one year.

What are the Zoosk free features?

Zoosk free features include:

  • Set up profile, including likes and interests
  • Add photos to your profile
  • Browse members
  • Send likes and smiles
  • Reply to three messages for free
  • See who viewed your profile

Can you get Zoosk coins for free?

No, Zoosk coins are not free, but they are available for purchase whether you have a free account or paid subscription.

Coins buy you the ability to boost your profile on the Zoosk website, send a virtual gift, and unlock Carousel Matches — a speed-dating feature that incentivizes members to quickly decide whether to connect.

Zoosk coins are available in the following packages:

  • 180 coins cost $19.95
  • 480 coins cost $39.95
  • 1,800 coins cost $99.95

Is Zoosk free chat available?

You cannot message or chat with your matches unless you are on a paid subscription. However, you can reply to three messages you receive from premium members for free.

How do I get a Zoosk free trial?

You can sign up for Zoosk for free at any time to start browsing members and send unlimited likes and smiles. But there is not currently an option to do a free trial of a premium membership, which includes features like messaging and video chat.

Pros and cons of Zoosk

Pro: Zoosk is super-easy to setup, with a great messenger

Compared to its competitors, Zoosk’s profile setup is simple. Upon landing on Zoosk’s homepage, you see a fill-in template asking you to input your gender, what you’re looking for in a mate, birthday, email address, and password choice.

Then, tell Zoosk where you live, give them an outline of what you look like, and your education level, and then you’re off to verify your account.

Pro: No open / polyamorous relationships

Zero judgment here. But if you are open only to monogamous relationships, Zoosk may appeal to you, since there is no way to actively identify yourself as poly or in an open relationship. If this resonates with you, eharmony is equally appealing to those seeking a monogamous relationship — especially if you are looking for something serious.

Pro: LBGTQ+ friendly

Everyone is welcome.

Pro: No lengthy questionnaires

This can be a pro and a con, depending on the type of relationship you're seeking.

Zoosk uses what they call Behavioral Matching to learn what it is you like and then applies those metrics to find matches for you, essentially taking the leg work out of finding someone to date.

For example, if you like men with beards but dislike men who own a cat, Zoosk will learn your preferences, increasing your chances of finding someone you’re interested in meeting.

Pro: Verified profiles

Because Zoosk uses your social media as a starting point, it’s harder (though never impossible) to invent a persona. Zoosk also offers options to verify your identity via a photo, phone number, or with your personal Twitter account.

However, numerous users report spam and fake profiles.

Pro: Access to a broad range of people

Zoosk claims to have 40 million members and is available to anyone between the ages of 20 to 93.

But besides the overall quantity of singles, what’s most important is the ability you have to sort through them. Zoosk allows you to cast as wide a net as you want while taking advantage of the site’s technology to refine your matches based on such factors as location height, and religion.

Con: Pay-to-play dating

If you want to use Zoosk, you’ll have to pay for it. Unlike other dating sites like Hinge and Tinder, there aren’t many benefits to remaining a free member on Zoosk, since you won’t be able to do much more than edit your own account details.

Con: Inactive users

Active users have complained of coming across bots on Zoosk’s platform. While the site claims to go out of its way to make sure members are real, there are unverified users. On Consumer Affairs, Zoosk got a 1.1 stars rating as of September 2025.

Con: Monogamy only

Depending on your preferences, if you are seeking open, poly or other outside-of-traditional two-person relationships, this is not your site.

If you are looking for a friend with benefits, read about how to find one here.

On the other hand, poly and open relationship-seeking people can certainly join the site and seek matches, which can cause confusion and frustration for the monogamous.

Zoosk FAQs

Who’s on Zoosk? What age group is Zoosk for?

With more than 40 million members in more than 70 countries, the odds of finding someone you like are in your favor. The platform is also available in more than 25 different languages.

Members are 45% male and 55% female, with an average age of 24 and 27 respectively.

To use Zoosk, you must be looking for monogamy only. Zoosk doesn’t qualify open relationships, polyamorous relationships, or anything other than long-term, two-person interactions.

Is Zoosk just a hookup site?

Zoosk is not just a hookup app. It's also for single people looking for a serious relationship or marriage.

Is Zoosk good for serious relationships?

While there are users on Reddit and in online reviews who claim to have met their current partners and spouses on Zoosk, Zoosk doesn’t have the same reputation as sites like eharmony for serious dating.

Zoosk also doesn't separate daters by the type of relationship they're looking for — everyone is in the same pool. That means it's up to members to weed out daters who aren't looking for something serious.

Does Zoosk have a lot of fake profiles?

Several Zoosk reviews posted on Trustpilot and the Better Business Bureau complain about numerous fake reviews on Zoosk, with one even claiming more than 75% of female profiles they saw were fake.

Zoosk Trustpilot Review from February 2025

Is Zoosk a trusted site?

Zoosk’s parent company Spark Networks has an A+ rating from the Better Business Bureau. However, members often complain about fake profiles and spam accounts.

Is Zoosk a good dating site?

Quick answer: No. While the Zoosk app has competitive fees, it attracts a broad swath of daters, and it can be easy to get lost among the masses of daters.

Common complaints for Zoosk’s app include many dead accounts, spammy, misleading emails and marketing, low quality of members and high prices and ads on the free version. Here are a few recent complaints on Better Business Bureau, which until recently gave the parent company a big fat F for a long time.

However, parent Spark Networks has seemed to have stepped up, and is responding to complaints on the BBB, which increased its rating to an A+, even if customer reviews average 1.16/5 stars. None of the current reviews are specifically about Zoosk, though these are some older ones:

Zoosk vs. Elite Singles

EliteSingles is solely focused on pairing singles with serious dating partners, including for marriage. If this is what you are looking for, Elite Singles beats Zoosk. However, not all single moms and dads are ready or interested in a committed partnership, in which case Zoosk is a more casual dating option — and a good one!

Zoosk vs. Match

Match users tend to be older and are more likely to be looking for serious relationships. Zoosk tends to attract younger daters in their mid- to late-20s who are looking for serious commitment and casual dating alike. Match has a slightly dated user interface, which isn't surprising considering it was one of the first major dating sites.

Zoosk vs. OKCupid

OKCupid is known for being one of the most inclusive dating websites out there (with 13 gender identifications) and also for its extensive compatibility ratings based on thousands of questions its users can answer. OKCupid is all about being upfront in your dating intentions and is probably a better fit than Zoosk for casual dating. It also offers more free features, including the ability to message with a limited number of people each month for free.

Zoosk vs. PoF

Plenty of Fish stands out because you don't need a premium upgrade to message other users. Zoosk, on the other hand, requires a premium subscription to message or chat with your matches.

What is OnlineDivorce.com?

OnlineDivorce.com is a divorce document preparation service founded in 2008, with headquarters in Newark, Del. The site claims to have served more than 500,000 people.

OnlineDivorce.com has been profiled by major news publications such as USA Today, the Los Angeles Times, Time Magazine, Good Morning America, and NBC’s Today Show.

Who could use OnlineDivorce.com?

OnlineDivorce.com is ideal for divorcing partners who are not in an abusive situation and generally agree about:

  • Custody, child support, and how to raise their kids
  • How to divide assets and debt

Is OnlineDivorce.com legit?

OnlineDivorce.com is indeed a legit company with a B rating from the Better Business Bureau. Founded in 2008 by Ukrainian Andriy Bogdanov, OnlineDivorce claims it helped more than 500,000 people file for divorce.

How does OnlineDivorce.com work?

OnlineDivorce.com fills out your divorce papers for you based on answers you provide in an online questionnaire.

Questionnaire on Onlinedivorce.com reviews.

There are some simple steps you’ll go through to complete the process:

  1. Fill out your filing state and basic information online to see if you qualify.
  2. If you qualify, you’ll answer questions about your family and assets and the terms of your divorce:
    • Who is petitioning for the divorce
    • Whether you know the location of your spouse
    • If you and your spouse agree to the division of property, assets and all child-related issues
    • Whether you and your spouse are residing in the U.S.
    • How many children you have/if either of you are pregnant
    • Whether you and your spouse own any property or have any debts
    • How you plan to divide property/assets/debt
    • Additional sources of income
    • Money owed to you/your spouse
    • Whether you or your spouse are in the military
  3. Once you’ve gone through these initial questions, you’ll be asked to pay $159 to continue filling out your divorce forms. If your divorce is uncomplicated (i.e., you don’t have children or shared property/debts), you may only have to answer 18 questions. The number of questions increases based on the information you input. For example, because I have two children, I had to enter information about custody, child support, and life insurance. I ended up having to answer 50 questions total, which took about 45 minutes to answer. If you need help throughout the process, you can fill out OnlineDivorce.com’s online support form. There is also a circled lowercase i next to each question you can click to get more context about what the question means/what to write.
  4. OnlineDivorce.com will use the answers you’ve supplied to draw up your divorce paperwork. Normal processing takes 2 business days, or you can pay $49 to have your forms processed within 30 minutes. There are three options to receive your forms:
    • Online download – Free
    • Shipping via Priority U.S. Mail – $20
    • Shipping Expedited – $35
  5. You’ll review all your new divorce documents for accuracy and make changes as necessary.
  6. Once you have approved divorce paperwork ready to go, you’ll file it with your local court system.

The entire process is completed at your own pace, and you can find all the divorce documents you need online.

In addition to basic information (name, addresses, phone numbers, employers, etc.), make sure you know all of the following information for you and your spouse:

  • Information about your marriage
  • Social security and driver’s license numbers
  • Income, tax contributions, union fees, retirement account contributions, investments, and insurance policies
  • Common property (including mortgage and vehicle information)
  • Details on estate planning

When you use OnlineDivorce.com to file for divorce, you get:

  • Guaranteed court approval of your divorce documents or you get your money back
  • Over 22 years of experience in this field
  • Step-by-step filing instructions
  • Online customer support

With OnlineDivorce.com, you get the best of both worlds — a private, stress-free divorce with online help and assistance if you need it.

Keep in mind, however, an online divorce processor like OnlineDivorce.com is only possible if you have an uncontested divorce — as in, both you and your partner have agreed on how to split up assets, split up debts, and on how the kids will be raised.

OnlineDivorce.com pros

In general, online, DIY services are a great, affordable, easy, and low-conflict option to end a marriage via divorce or annulment.

Based on my experience, OnlineDivorce.com is a relatively user-friendly, thorough, and quick DIY divorce service.

In the past, OnlineDivorce.com was plagued with many online complaints and a D rating from the Better Business Bureau, though it has since been upgraded to a B rating.

Some of the biggest reasons to use this service and file for divorce online include:

  • You won’t have to deal with a lawyer. If you don’t want to deal with a lawyer for any reason, OnlineDivorce.com will let you file for divorce without any help. This can be a huge benefit if you prefer to keep the details of your divorce as private as possible or if you’ve had bad experiences with attorneys in the past. However, you can chat with bar-certified family law attorneys through OnlineDivorce.com’s partnership with JustAnswer.com — $5 for a one-week trial membership.
  • It's affordable. According to a recent Forbes article, the average cost of a divorce in the United States is between $15,000 and $20,000 dollars. OnlineDivoce.com costs $139 plus filing fees, making it one of the lowest-cost services on the market, though you do have to pay a $39.99 fee per month if you need to use the service beyond the initial 30 days.
  • You can expedite the divorce process. Hiring an attorney to help you file for divorce will inevitably lead to higher costs and a lengthier divorce timeline. By filing for divorce the simple way, you can reduce the amount of time it takes and make the process a lot less stressful.

OnlineDivorce.com cons

OnlineDivorce.com is not our favorite DIY divorce product on the market. These are some OnlineDivorce.com cons:

  • Unless you upgrade to a Premium account for $319, you will have to file with the court yourself and serve your spouse
  • Initial $159 fee only covers the first 30 days, then you’ll be charged $39.99 per month to extend your membership
  • Lots of pop-up ads and pages to purchase additional services or upgrade your account — some of which are hard to skip past unless you scroll to the bottom of the page and click the fine print
Name change offer on Onlinedivorce.com reviews.
QDRO offer on Onlinedivorce.com reviews.
  • Most media mentions on their site are 20 years old

In short, there are many reputable divorce services on the market. No need to go with the first one on Google.

Bottom line: Is OnlineDivorce.com a good option?

Overall, OnlineDivorce.com is a good option for filing for divorce online, though I don’t like that it charges an additional monthly fee of $39.99 after you’ve already paid a flat rate to use the service. However, it is very likely you can finish your papers within a few days, so will not need this upgrade.

The site also has a lot of popups as you're trying to work through the questionnaire for additional services and upgrades, though some of these offerings — like an online parenting course for $89.95 ($179.90 for both spouses) — may be worth considering.

Is OnlineDivorce.com legit?

OnlineDivorce.com is indeed a legit company. Founded in 2001, OnlineDivorce claims it helped more than 500,000 people file for divorce.

When it comes to love and sex, there’s a website for whatever you’re looking for. Even if what you’re looking for is plain ole’ sex. Adult Friend Finder is the leader in this space.

If you don’t want to spend your time scouting for potential hookups at the local bar, you might want to look into Adult Friend Finder (AFF). The site was launched in 1996, and today is the largest sex and swingers community with over 100 million users.

Is Adult Friend Finder legit?

Yes, Adult Friend Finder is legit. The site previously had an A+ rating with the Better Business Bureau, but is currently not rated. It has been in business since the beginning of the internet and has millions of users.

The app was named one of the best dating websites and apps in 2021 by Dating-Experts.org.

While some reviewers on Reddit and Trustpilot like to call AFF a scam, it definitely depends on what you make of your experience. “I guess it IS a scam if you sign up expecting to put no effort into it at all and then get laid by some hot chick,” writes one Reddit user.

Keep in mind lots of people love to call dating apps “scams” when they feel they’re not getting their money’s worth (a.k.a. matches). Always take this with a grain of salt when you try any hookup site.

For someone who isn’t interested in dating and just wants to get laid including single moms, Adult Friend Finder might be the hook-up app for you.

How does Adult Friend Finder work?

When you sign up, you can customize your profile to disclose your interests, physical traits (like your cup size), and what you’re looking for. Adding photos are optional, but it’s always a good idea to put up a few (it increases the legitimacy of your profile and might lead to more matches). It’s also recommended to add a detailed description of who you are and what you’re looking for — it’s great for connecting with other matches who might be looking for the same things as you.

Once you complete your profile, it’s time to get searching! While AFF doesn’t match you up with users, it does provide a compatibility score as you’re searching for partners. You can also refine your searches based on location, race, gender, etc.

Here are the questions you can answer on AFF to help generate matches:

  • Have you ever had cybersex?
  • What kind of night life do you enjoy?
  • How big of a role does sex play in your life?
  • What types of sex activities do you regularly enjoy?
  • How much enjoyment do you get from receiving oral sex?
  • What are your thoughts on anal sex?
  • What's the largest number of people you've shared a sexual encounter within one session?
  • What types of sexual activities turn you on?
  • What types of sexual activities are OFF LIMITS to you?
  • What factors are most important to you when looking for a sexual partner?
  • What types of new sexual experiences would you like to explore?
  • Besides the obvious, what areas of your body do you consider erogenous zones?
  • Have you ever had erotic pictures or video taken of you?
  • Does size really matter to you?
  • Do you enjoy talking dirty during sex?
  • Tell one of your favorite sexual fantasies. Don't hold back!
  • What role-playing scenes do you fantasize about?
  • What location do you fantasize about for a sexual encounter?
  • Ever fantasized about having sex with a celebrity? Who? What turns you on about them?
  • Tell us about your favorite sexual encounter.

Etc.

Members can also share blog posts within their profiles, participate in group discussions (think: Reddit), share erotica (throwback to Penthouse Letters), and live cam of member, as well as its Sex Academy, with how-to videos on oral and anal sex, how to write profiles and connect with other members.

All these features make it easy to connect, but when things move offline, users often look for ways to keep the experience both fun and thoughtful. To keep things fun and safe, some users even bring extras like custom printed condoms to add a playful, personalized touch to their encounters.

Adult Friend Finder pros

It's good for people who want to explore their sexuality.

AFF welcomes everyone who wants to get laid, especially for those who want to get kinky or explore a sexual fantasy. Pro tip: write exactly what you're looking for in your profile to find other matches who share the same interests!

It’s great for couples, too!

AFF isn't just for singles. You'll also find lots of couples who are looking for third partners, open relationships, voyeurism fetishes, and swingers, too.

How to catch a cheater

They offer sex tips to help you improve your game.

AFF has a Sex Academy available for premium members to help them get the most out of their hookups. The Sex Academy offers instructional videos on how to do different sex acts and has tips on how to safely meet people through the website.

There are a lot of ways for members to interact with each other.

AFF has a lively community that loves leaning into their sexual fantasies. They have pages devoted to erotic stories posted by members. In addition to those erotic stories, AFF has blogs and groups to help members connect with each other.

Adult Friend Finder cons

The website is outdated.

We’re gonna say it: the website is in need of a major makeover. Between the nudity and the suggestive copy, AFF looks like the homepage of a porn site. In addition to looks, one of the most common complaints is how hard it is to navigate. Some users report that their website lags and that live streams don’t work. AFF also does not have a smartphone app, so it’s definitely not the most accessible website.

Lots of fake profiles. Read: How to run a background check on your date

Lots of users on Reddit and Trustpilot complain about the numerous fake profiles they encounter. This seems to be a common wide issue with many dating apps as these companies try to lure people into using their products. Of course, the number of actual profiles will depend on how popular AFF is where you live.

It’s not suitable for dating relationships.

This hookup site is all about getting laid, so if you’re looking for something more serious, you might want to check out a dating site like Match, Bumble, or even Tinder. However some Reddit users say they met their girlfriends, so it is, in theory, possible.

eharmony is our leading recommendation of all dating sites and apps focused on serious relationships.

Interested in checking out other dating sites and apps? Here are some dating app reviews:

You might get tons of explicit messages.

We warn you now, get ready to see lots of nudity, unsolicited dick pics, and lots of dirty talks. Trustpilot reviews also warn that there may be harassment from male users. This might be off putting to people who are new hookup sites or are just more reserved. But don't worry, there are other hookup websites you can check out.

Limited options for free members.

While registration and sign-up is free, you can't message anyone unless you buy a premium subscription.

Adult Friend Finder reviews

AFF reviews from Better Business Bureau

Adult Friend Finder (parent company Various, Inc.) is not currently rated by the BBB. There are only 12 reviews.

AFF reviews from Trustpilot

AFF has a 1.1 rating out of five stars from Trustpilot, based on more than 415 reviews. Users cite that the website is a ripoff because even after paying for a membership, they’re still not able to get access to certain profiles. One reviewer also warns of harassment from some members.

AFF reviews from Reddit

Reviewers on Reddit say that AFF is hit or miss. Some Redditors say there's a lot of talking, but no one actually meets up. Others have said they've met up with people from the site with no problem. The common consensus is that AFF is a scam but as mentioned before, these websites are all based on the effort you put in.

Bottom line: Is AFF any good?

Adult Friend Finder can be a good option if you’re looking to find a casual hookup or exploring a fetish or finding a partner for a threesome. While you will need to comb through different profiles and are willing to pay the premium subscription, this site has managed to be a quality place for people on the fringe of dating.

Seeking

Seeking was originally a website for sugaring connections. If you’re unfamiliar with that term, sugaring is the type of dating where a man or woman (sugar daddy or sugar mommy) spoils their date (a sugar baby) with lavish gifts and money in exchange for intimacy and companionship. Seeking has evolved to become a hookup service dedicated to finding honest relationships that align with your goals — no sugaring required.

Dubbed “The hottest sex site for seniors, SeniorSizzle is geared towards sexually adventurous adults aged 50+.

Tinder

Overall, here is my advice about online dating: Most of the apps are very similar in their technology and tend to be pretty general in the types of people who populate them.

  • Ask your local friends for which app they like best, and which is most popular in your community.
  • Many of the general-dating apps like Bumble, Hinge, Match, Plenty of Fish and OKCupid attract all kinds of people looking for a variety of dating: serious and casual.
  • Have fun and be positive and kind! This is an exciting new chapter and there are plenty great people who are also nervous and hesitant.

eharmony: Best dating site for single parents

There are many quality dating apps, but in our opinion, the best dating site for single parents is eharmony.com, based on its deep assessment that helps singles find meaningful partnership based on hundreds of criteria — including whether you are looking for or open to dating someone with kids.

This of course assumes you are looking for a serious relationship right now. If you're not, keep reading for other options!

eharmony was founded more than 20 years ago by a psychologist whose goal was to create an algorithm to find true compatibility that will result in deeply committed, fulfilling partnerships. Read more about eharmony in my review here.

eharmony reports that more than 2 million users have ‘found love' and claims that 542 people who met on eharmony marry every day.

eharmony stands out:

  • Free 150-point personality report supports site's sole focus on serious, committed partnership or marriage
  • Apps for iOS and Android
  • 100% of members are proven to be real (no catfishing or married people!)
  • Free version
  • For paid memberships, eharmony has one of the lowest prices.
  • A Better Business Bureau rating

eharmony also has a documented rate of successfully connecting people. One study published in the Proceedings of the National Academy of Sciences found that compared with couples who met on other dating sites as well as IRL, eharmony couples were more likely to be content in their relationship, less likely to break up, and more likely to marry — and less likely to divorce once they do.

As of September 2025, eharmony's prices:

  • Free basic account: $0
  • Premium Light:
    • $38.94/ month for 6 months
    • $23.94/ month for 12 months
    • $17.94/ month for 24 months
  • Premium Plus:
    • $44.94/ month for 6 months
    • $26.34/ month for 12 months
    • $20.34/ month for 24 months
  • Premium Unlimited:
    • $47.94/ month for 6 months
    • $29.94/ month for 12 months
    • $21.54/ month for 24 months

If you are not looking for a serious relationship, check out Adult Friend Finder, which is for those looking for casual sex, to satisfy a kink, or couples looking for open relationships or threesomes.

Want to know more about your date? Do a background check first. You can also do a deep dive without paying with some know-how.

Is there a dating app for single parents?

This is a common question, and the answer is: All of them ;)

Dating a single parent? 5+ challenges you need to know

Just Single Parents dating app

JustSingleParents.com is a UK-based dating site so small it is not listed on the Better Business Bureau and its Twitter and Facebook accounts have not been updated since 2015. There are plenty of other dating apps and sites to meet quality people. Skip!

Single Parent Meet dating app

Single Parent Meet is a small app/site owned by SuccessfulMatch.com, which runs a number of niche dating apps including those for bisexual people, cougars/younger men, and singles with STDs. SuccessfulMatch.com has a C rating with the Better Business Bureau and just one Trustpilot review — a 3.2-star/5 posted in 2020.

Single Parent Meet dating app

However, Single Parent Meet was designed for, and by, single parents. Do you keep meeting people who aren't open to dating someone with kids? Have you found yourself dating someone who expresses no interest in your kids, let alone want to meet them? Or doesn't understand your commitments and priorities as a single parent? If so, then SingleParentMeet is the perfect dating site for you.

Single Parent Meet (often called Single Parents Meet) claims that all members are single moms and single dads, though no background checks are completed.

Stir dating app

Stir is app-only dating for single parents. The interface is beautiful, easy-to-use and clearly targets a younger, cooler audience than the other dating apps for single moms and dads. Beyond the free version, prices start at $19.99 per week for a subscription.

Owned by Match Group, the app has a 3.8/5 start rating on Google Play and 4.1/5 stars on the App Store, with common complaints being a lack of quality selection and very limited free version — which is true for all dating apps.

Adult Friend Finder

AFF has was launched in 1996, and today is the largest sex and swingers community with over 100 million users. The site is not rated with, has a very limited free version, and like other online dating and hookup sites, has mixed user reviews — though the app was named one of the best dating websites and apps in 2021 by Dating-Experts.org.

Adult Friend Finder is open to everyone, regardless of sexual orientation or sexual experience. The common theme on this dating website is casual sex; the pool contains:

  • People looking for friends with benefits
  • Casual hookups
  • Couples who practice polyamory
  • Swingers
  • Adventurous folks looking to live out their sexual fantasies and fantasies.

Bumble

Bumble was created by Tinder co-founder Whitney Wolfe a few years ago, with the sole focus of putting the power of dating into the hands of women.

In other words, women have since the dawn of time been sick of dudes coming on too strong, cheesy pickup lines, dick pics, stalkers and worse. Bumble is the answer to these issues, as in all cases, women initiate the online flirting, and are the only gender that can initiate in-app conversations and chats.

Women on Bumble report that the quality of men on the app tends to be higher, as they are guys who are comfortable with women who like to take charge.

The online dating app is free to try, with a reasonable upgrade program, and is easy to set up, as it pulls info from your Facebook profiles, which also informs which people are suggested to you. Each match has a time limit, so both are compelled to respond quickly to any promising interactions — not to mention incentivized to stalk the app.

However, Bumble has a F with the Better Business Bureau, where the many complaints have not been addressed by the company.

Read our Bumble review.

ChristianCupid

Most dating sites allow you to search for matches by religion, but only a few dating sites are specifically targeted to people of the same faith, including Christian dating apps and Catholic dating sites.

ChristianCupid is a dating site to help Christian men and women find love and friendship. It is one of more than 30 niche dating sites operated by Cupid Media. Users can specify their religious preferences — like denomination and level of religious commitment (religious vs. very religious).

The site is free to use and browse, though features like reading and sending messages require a premium membership. ChristianCupid has a mobile app available for Android devices.

Christian Mingle

ChristianMingle, like EliteSingles, is free to search, and provides a free, color-coded personality test, which it uses to suggest matches based on your values, interests, dating goals and character. You can also directly search for and message fellow Christian singles.

Christian Mingle benefits:

  • 100% of accounts and photos are verified as real
  • 24/7 customer service
  • Claims to be largest Christian dating site in the United States, with 60,000 new users each month

Spark Networks, the parent company of ChristianMingle, has an A+ rating from the Better Business Bureau, and has 1.17/5 stars based on 70 customer reviews.

Coffee Meets Bagel

Coffee Meets Bagel, a.k.a. CMB is an app-only dating platform that focuses on serious relationships, with 86% of users reporting they are looking for a long-term partnership. With versions on Apple and Android, Coffee Meets Bagel requires you to register through Facebook, then uses your preferences and swiping patterns to suggest matches.

Coffee Meets Bagel CEO, Dawoon Kang, says the dating platform is more like a matchmaker than a dating app, taking a “slow dating” approach by suggesting only  a limited number of matches (“bagels”) daily. To receive more profiles, you must like or pass first, giving the dating site added information about you and making your matches more accurate in the future.

You can also browse through members' profiles in the Discover section and use your “Beans,” accumulated by utilizing different features on the app, to like additional profiles.

Free to join, or pay for a CMB Premium subscription to receive activity reports, read receipts, and intel about who likes you. Then meet for that bagel in real life.

Coffee Meets Bagel has a D rating with the Better Business Bureau.

Read our review of Coffee Meets Bagel.

CougarLife

As its name implies, Cougarlife is a dating site for older women, “cougars,” to date younger men, “cubs,” though the site doesn't have any age restrictions to join. In fact, most of the users I saw were males over the age of 40. (Check out our post on meeting singles over 40 in person.)

Cougarlife is designed for people seeking all types of relationships, from casual to more long term. Creating an account is quick and easy, since Cougarlife doesn't require a lot of information to get started.

You can filter users by age, location, last login, appearance, and whether or not they have public or private photos.

Women on Cougarlife can send messages for free. Men, however, have to buy credits. The following credit packages are available:

  • Basic: $29.99 ($.30 per credit) for 100 credits
  • Classic: $99.99 ($0.20 per credit) for 500 credits (start 100 conversations)
  • Elite: $149.99 ($0.15 per credit) for 1,000 credits (start 200 conversations)

Men can also have their profiles highlighted as a Priority Man for $29.99/month (which is also included in the Elite credit package).

Cougarlife has a 4.1 /5 rating on Google Play, 3.9/5 on the App Store and 2.3 /5 stars on Trustpilot.

EliteSingles

EliteSingles stands out in that it has a deep personality survey that attracts an overwhelming percentage of members who are professionals with college degrees, and are looking for a serious, long-term relationship. The site says it serves all races, religions and ages who are interested in partnership.

EliteSingles stands out because it features:

  • A deep personality survey to make highly compatible matches
  • Profiles verified by Customer Care
  • Free personality report
  • Apps for iOS and Android
  • 82% of the members have a college education
  • Over 90% of members aged 30+

Read: EliteSingles online dating app review

EliteSingles matches potential partners via extensive questions about your values and ethics, lifestyle, how you feel about yourself, career attitudes and accomplishments, emotional maturity, whether you are seeking more children or not, sexuality, and much, much more.

Because of this, the online dating app tends to attract professional, educated singles seeking serious relationships. EliteSingles has poor online reviews. However, its parent company, Spark Networks, has an A+ rating with the Better Business Bureau.

Happn

Happn is a newer dating site, one focused on hyper-locality. In other words, as soon as you create a profile by linking your Facebook account, Happn figures out where you are located, and uses GPS tracking to connect you with people who you have crossed paths with IRL, showing you a map of where you have been in the same coffee shop, bar, grocery store or AYSO soccer field.

Since Happn's goal is to connect you with locals, you actually must be within 250 miles to actually send and receive messages from another member. This is a pro if you're afraid of being catfished by some shady guy in Dubai.

Happn has some cool features, like an in-app feature that allows you to announce an activity — like watching the game at a certain bar, or having a meal at your favorite restaurant, which can inspire others to join your party. You can also send voice messages through Happn. Pretty cool.

Does this sound really cool? Do you find all this close-to-home tracking creepy? Maybe challenge yourself and try it anyway?

Happn has a very basic free version, with more usable memberships starting at $24.99 per month. Happn does not have a Better Business Bureau rating, and only 1.1 stars on Trustpilot.

Hinge

Hinge is a mobile-first (no real website) dating app that is focused on relationships and photos. In fact, Hinge's CEO called it “Like Instagram profiles for dating.”

To sign up, download the Hinge app, and connect with your Facebook profile to get started. Like the relationship-focused dating app eharmony, Hinge encourages you to share personal information like your faith or spirituality, politics, and values, in an effort to make more meaningful connections.

Hinge takes just a few minutes to set up, and tends to skew younger. By comparison, eharmony requires you take a personality survey of 150 questions, and half of the users are over age 30.

Hinge does have a free version, but for meaningful interaction, Hinge premium memberships start at $16.98/week.

Hinge, owned by Match.com, has a B rating with the BBB, and thousands of complaints there.

Jdate

Jdate bills itself as the “premier Jewish dating site for Jewish singles” and offers an app for iOS and Android users.

Although the majority of Jdate users are Jewish and looking for a Jewish partner, nobody is prohibited from using the site. You can specify your religious identity when you're creating your profile.

An independent research firm hired in 2011 surveyed nearly 1,000 married Jewish internet users and found that Jdate is responsible for 52% of Jewish marriages that started online.

Jdate's parent company is Spark Networks, the same company that operates EliteSingles, Zoosk, ChristianMingle, and a number of other online dating sites and apps. Spark Networks has an A+ rating with the Better Business Bureau but is not accredited.

The League

The League is all about exclusivity — in fact, they have an anonymous review panel that decides who gets in and who doesn't make the cut.

While there are no specific criteria for approval, The League favors users with advanced degrees — especially those from prestigious universities — as well as those who have LinkedIn profiles, an appealing social media appearance, and who live in cities where The League is most active.

The League has an A+ BBB rating, though customer reviews on the BBB and Trustpilot are mostly negative.

Check out our full review of The League.

Match.com

One of the oldest and most popular sites, you cannot go wrong with Match.com.

Many great people I know have Match accounts.

The interface is a little dated, but workable, and in many parts of the United States, Match still reins as one of the best online dating apps, with the largest selection. The app has a ‘Not Rated’ standing with the Better Business Bureau — not a good look.

Read our Match.com review.

MilitaryCupid

Another of Cupid Media's niche dating sites, MilitaryCupid is one of the few places for members of the armed forces to connect with other military personnel and civilians alike.

MilitaryCupid users might be looking for a pen pal to pass the time overseas or a true love connection with someone who understands their unique experiences and lifestyle.

Like other Cupid Media sites, you can join and browse for free, but you can't read or send messages without a premium account. MilitaryCupid has an app available on Apple and Android devices.

Millionaire Match

Despite what its name suggests, you don't have to be a millionaire to join Millionaire Match. The site pairs wealthy men and women with people who want to date them.

Members who can claim millionaire status can get a “Certified Millionaire” badge on their profile by showing proof of income and assets, as well as recent tax returns.

Although Millionaire Match claims it's not a sugar baby/sugar daddy site, several users on Reddit say that's exactly what a lot of people use it for — our dating writer (and single mom) Christelyne was personally offered thousands of dollars by two separate suitors in exchange for her time and company.

Plus, Millionaire Match is owned by SuccessfulMatch.com, Inc., the same parent company as SugarDaddyMeet.

Millionaire Match is not rated by the Better Business Bureau and has only 3.4/5 stars on Trustpilot.

Read our Millionaire Match review.

OKCupid

I love OKCupid. It is very popular in New York City where I live, but I find it to be a great interface.

There is a free version, but very few people can resist upgrading.

When you upgrade on OkCupid, you have access to features like seeing who “liked” your profile, or when the guy you’re hot for last logged in.

OKC is a highly interactive app, which features thousands and thousands of user-generated questions that allow you to really get to know a prospective match. When I was really dating like a mofo, I took a lot of time to read guys' responses to these questions, as well as answer many myself, including adding comments. You can tell a lot about a person through these questions!

Some common OKCupid user-generated questions (which are totally up to you as to whether you answer):

Is interracial marriage a bad idea?

Would you consider an open marriage?

Do you spend a lot of time thinking about carbs?

Lights on or off during sex? [my answer: “On. Unless you're ugly.”]

Are you going to run away as soon as it's commitment time?

Is climate change real?

OKCupid is today owned by Match.com, which has been downgraded to a ‘Not Rated’ status with the BBB. Nor is the company accredited by the agency, which is unusual for such an old company.

or, read our OKCupid review.

PlentyofFish

PlentyofFish (PoF) is a solid, straight-forward online dating app, one that jibes with moms:

PoF reports that 44% of its female users are single moms, and that single moms find matches 10% faster than other users.

That is saying a lot, as there are 70 million members on this easy-to-use site. Unlike Tinder and other swipe-based sites, this one gives you plenty of room to write a nice essay.

PoF is also free, which is good and bad — free is always awesome, except that it attracts all the riff raff! Ain't no such thing as a free [fish] lunch!

PoF is another Match.com property. It has a B rating on BBB

Or, read our PoF review.

SilverSingles

SilverSingles is focused solely on singles aged 50+. The free membership allows you to set up a profile, complete an in-depth personality test, and view other members' profiles.

SilverSingles markets itself as a source for friendships, casual dates, and serious relationships. Unlike other sites that only allow you to connect with matches the app makes, EliteSingles allows members to search by age, location, height, education, ethnicity, and religion. The in-depth survey will also help the dating algorithm suggest matches that are likely to interest you.

Plus, there’s a free trial option, low monthly cost, and creating a profile is simple.

SilverSingles has both iOS and Android apps via the iTunes and Google Play stores, and is owned by the same parent company as EliteSingles, Spark Networks, which earned an A+ status with the BBB.

Tawkify

Tawkify aims to be a mainstream matchmaking service, with notable founders E. Jean Caroll, Silicon Valley funding and more than a decade finding relationships for clients.

While Tawkify does accept “Rolodex” clients to be on standby for dates, free of charge, clients pay $4,000 to $40,000 for concierge service, including a personalized interview, guaranteed number of matches along with the actual dates set up and ongoing communication with the Tawkify matchmaker.

Tawkify has a 4.5/5 on Trustpilot and lots of positive reviews and praise for matchmakers. But some complain that the value of the service doesn't match the high price.

Tinder started out as a hook-up app, thanks to its geo-location feature and minimalist profile details. Tinder invented the dating app swipe — which everyone knows understands is a swipe right if you're interested, and the fatal swipe left if you're standing in front of your boat, shirtless, in a grainy pic from 6 years ago holding a big fish.

Unlike other apps, Tinder user profiles are limited to a few photos and a very brief profile. There is not a ton of opportunity to express who you are, or learn deeply about potential matches, by browsing alone. You have to connect, then chat (or call, or date!).

But like any popular technology, this one has gone mainstream, and I increasingly hear quality people – both men and women – say they rely on Tinder for dating people with serious relationship potential. It is simply another way to connect romantically, and should not be ignored if you want more than a friend with benefits (or — if you DO want a friend with benefits!).

This is the fastest-growing dating app, and also tends to skew younger, but that is also changing.

Tinder is owned by Match.com, which isn't rated by the Better Business Bureau and has a 1.1/5 rating on Trustpilot.

Zoosk

There's a reason Zoosk is the highest-grossing dating app around:

The app-based dating site has 35 million users around the world, and pulls in your social media accounts to help you quickly create an account and match with compatible people. Zoosk claims to use behavioral matchmaking technology to constantly customize your dating and matchmaking experience.

The easy-to-use app and app have a free version, as well as premium monthly and annual memberships. Zoosk also has cool features like a “boost” which is a fee-based bump in the number of people who will see your site, as well as verified profiles, to help you sort through the undesirables.

Overall, Zoosk is a great online dating app for online daters, and may become the favorite of veterans!

Zoosk is another Spark Networks property, which has an A+ rating with the BBB but poor Trustpilot reviews.

Single parenting dating app FAQs:

Which dating site has the highest success rate?

While only eharmony (that we know of) actually reports success rates, a relevant question here is: how do you define success?

If success means a serious relationship, including marriage, eharmony reports that more than 2 million users have ‘found love' and in 2010, the site reported that 542 people who met on eharmony married every day. eharmony also reports that couples who meet on their app and marry face a mere 4% divorce rate, compared with approximately 50% for the general public.

Which dating site is the best for serious relationships?

eharmony reports 37 million users in 200 countries. Perhaps the sheer numbers play a role in increasing your chances of meeting your dating goals.

13 international dating app reviews — which is best?

What is the most elite dating app?

The League has set itself apart by marketing itself as a very exclusive dating app, and while reviews are mixed, the limited number of people accepted, high price, and pressure to actively use the site do increase the quality of users.

Outside of dating sites, matchmaking services with their higher prices and personal, high-touch process rank as the most elite dating experience.

Professional matchmaking services can be a fantastic service for single moms, as these professionals get to know you personally, and connect you with quality people, saving you lots of time and heartache.

Is there a Tinder for single parents?

There are many single moms and single dads on Tinder, and every other dating app — almost all of which allow users to sort by whether potential matches have children, and allow you to qualify that you do have children.

Is Single Parent Meet a good dating site?

Single Parent Meet may be a good fit, depending on where you live, and how you use the site. There are many other dating apps where you can find quality single moms and dads to date.

Life after divorce: 11 tips for moving forward and starting a new life

5 tips for single moms using dating apps

If you are new to dating after divorce, a big breakup, or a long, dry spell, you are likely feeling a little nervous. Negative thoughts may include:

There are no good guys left at this stage! “I'm so lonely and want a boyfriend. But there are no good men — right?”

No quality man wants to date a single mom seriously.

Texting, sexting, dick pics, dating apps are all new since the last time I dated. I'm terrified!

My mom bod is so fat and saggy! Who would want to get with this mess!

I am too busy to take time away from my kids.

I don't trust my judgement about men and am afraid of getting into a bad situation again. (Learn more about background checks for dating)

How to choose the best online dating app for you

With so many online dating sites and apps, it can be overwhelming to pick one. Here is my advice:

  • Try a few. Most online dating sites have a free version, with a premium upgrade for a monthly or annual cost.
  • Ask your friends. If you are interested in dating locally, and have an idea of whether you're interested in casual or serious dating, other singles you trust may prefer one site over others. Based on the thousands of women I interact with through this blog and social media, I've learned that each app attracts different types of people depending on the location. For example, Tinder is more of a hookup app in some areas, but full of serious daters in others.

Bottom line: What is the best dating site for single parents?

If you are interested in finding a serious relationship, I highly recommend eharmony. Aside from the free basic membership, the in-depth survey assesses each member's personality, goals, and values, and verifies each member, average age 30, and 100% of whom are vetted as real and honest, and focused on serious, committed partnership.

  • Parenting-In-Your-pocket mobile app is not available with Bronze Level membership
  • Lack of diversity among the test subject interviewees in the training videos

UpToParents.org gives parents tools to support and protect their children. Upon completion, you will get a certificate that you can show as proof of taking a co-parenting class.

As a single parent, dating can be tough, especially if it’s been years since you’ve done it. First, it’s finding the time to date; this can be true, especially if you’re a mom to young kiddos. Then, it’s deciding where to start: Do you go with one random dating app and hope for the best? Ask friends to set you up? Hire a babysitter and scout for love at a nearby bar?

And if you're looking for a relationship, how do you weed out the people who can’t grasp the logistics and sometimes the challenges of being a parent? Or people who don’t want kids?

One dating service to consider is SingleParentMeet, a dating app and site that caters to — you guessed it — single parents. Read below to learn more about SingeParentMeet and whether it’s the right dating website for you.

However, if you are interested in a serious partnership, there are other apps to consider.

Dating a single mom? Tips for dating and 15 things NOT to say

Is SingleParentMeet worth it?

Pros

A supportive space for single parents.

It can be intimidating getting back out there. On SingleParentMeet, you’re surrounded by other individuals who share similar experiences. In addition to single parents, this dating service might also work for individuals who can’t have their own kids and would find love with someone who has them.

The website is easy to use.

It’s very easy to navigate around SingleParentMeet’s website. The homepage has a simple layout without the distraction of ads or any explicit content. Plus, SingleParentMeet also has an app, making it easy for parents to connect with wherever you are — at work, at a PTA meeting, after your kid’s bedtime.

May be helpful for finding connections outside of dating.

SingleParentMeet isn’t just for romantic connections. You can also use the website for finding friends or even a babysitter!

Cons

You have to pay to use most of the features.

It’s very hard to meet people on SingleParentMeet if you don’t have a premium membership. While its prices are less expensive compared to other dating sites, you might want to try OkCupid, Plenty of Fish, or even Tinder.

Niche dating sites are generally a smaller pool.

Niche dating sites generally have less pool of people since they’re more specific. Depending on where you live, you may not find a lot of people using SingleParentMeet. Right now SingleParentMeet is only available for the United States and Canada, which for some may be a con if you live internationally or are interested in meeting someone abroad.

It appears membership numbers are low compared with other dating sites and apps.

There’s no free trial.

It’s really hard to judge a dating service if you can’t really interact with it. A free trial could be beneficial for those who want to get a good feel for SingleParentMeet without committing to a membership.

Dating as a single dad? Advice for single dads you should know

SingleParentMeet reviews

SingleParentMeet’s parent company, People Media Inc. has a B rating but is not accredited by the Better Business Bureau. They have a 1.23 /5 stars and 35 customer reviews. None specifically call out SingleParentMeet; most reviewers complain about encountering fake profiles and are unhappy with their experience with People Media Inc.’s dating services (People Media also owns over 20 dating websites such as LoveandSeek, SeniorPeopleMeet, and Our Time); one common word throughout the page is “scam.”

On Trustpilot, People Media Inc. has a 1.5 out of 5 stars and just forty one reviews.

Another thing to remember: it can take months for anyone to find love on a dating website (and that goes for all of them). The best way to know if SingleParentMeet is right for you is to give it a chance. Case in point: two Reddit reviewers who found relationships via SingleParentMeet:

“We both joined with the expectation that any potential date we met on there would have a better understanding of our situation and priorities,” writes one Reddit reviewer who met their boyfriend using the site:

Another Reddit reviewer said they met their wife on SingleParentMeet 11 years ago and report being still happily married:

Bottom line: Is SingleParentMeet worth it?

SingleParentMeet is a great resource for people who want to find love or other single parents to connect with. However, if you don’t want to pay for a dating service, there are other options out there. Many dating apps ask you to share whether or not you have kids in order (among other things) to make the experience more transparent and honest.

This includes eharmony, which has a higher BBB and Trustpilot ratings than SingleParentMeet, has many other members who are parents or open to dating people with kids, and is solely focused on serious, committed relationships.
