November is packed with real, no-strings freebies, not gimmicks or sweepstakes, but things you can actually claim right now. Between Veterans Day giveaways, early holiday promos, and year-round rewards that reset this month, there are dozens of chances to score free meals, coffee, entertainment, and even park admission.
Some of these are once-a-year deals that disappear after November 11, while others are seasonal perks you can grab all month long if you know where to look. Here’s what’s still active for November 2025, from free burgers and haircuts to national park passes and Santa photos.
Free entrance to national parks and public lands on Nov. 11

The National Park Service waives entrance fees for everyone on Veterans Day, not just for the military, and this happens every November. That covers a long list of national parks, battlefields, seashores, and historic sites.
You still pay for extras like camping or tours, but the gate fee is gone, which can save a family a nice chunk if you live near a fee park. Check the park’s individual page first, because a few locations are always free anyway or have extra rules.
Free Santa photos at Bass Pro Shops and Cabela’s

Bass Pro Shops and Cabela’s run “Santa’s Wonderland” every holiday season, and part of that is a free photo with Santa that you book online. It usually starts in early November and runs through December.
You get one free 4×6 print and can buy extras if you want. Slots go fast on weekends, so November is actually the smart month to go, before December crowds show up.
JCPenney Kids Zone free craft

JCPenney still promotes its free Kids Zone Saturday craft days, and November dates skew holiday-themed. Kids get the project and parents sometimes get a coupon for shopping the same day.
Bring the kids early, because stores only order so many kits. It is a nice add-on if you are already there looking at holiday clothes or home gifts.

Lowe’s DIY kids workshops

Lowe’s publishes its DIY-U kids projects on its site and they are free, in store, on selected Saturdays. November projects are almost always seasonal and you can register online to hold a kit.
They give you the kit, tools, and a little badge or certificate, so it is an easy no-spend weekend activity in the middle of a very expensive month.
Home Depot kids workshops

Home Depot does the same thing: free in-store kids workshops, usually the first Saturday of the month, and November 2026 will land you something holiday-adjacent if 2025 is any guide. Parents get all the materials for free.
These are first-come, first-served at some stores, so look yours up the week before. It is a solid way to entertain kids without paying for a class.
Michaels free MakeBreak craft events

Michaels posts free in-store MakeBreak craft sessions most Sundays, and November is when they roll out holiday cards, ornaments, and décor projects. The class is free, and basic supplies are included.
Some events ask you to buy a specific surface or bring something from home, so read the description before you head over. But if you hit the right day, it is a totally free holiday craft.
Free Medicare/health plan counseling during open enrollment

Fall Medicare open enrollment is when SHIP, the State Health Insurance Assistance Program, offers one-on-one counseling at no cost to help you compare plans, Part D drug coverage, or Advantage options. This runs through November in every state.
You can book an appointment through the national finder and meet by phone, in person, or virtually. It is all free and it can save you real money in January if you find a cheaper drug plan.
Weekly free PC games from Epic Games Store

Epic has kept up a weekly free-game giveaway for years, including the current November lineup. Once you claim the game during the promo window, it stays in your library.
This is one of the few digital freebies where the value can be high, especially when they drop a bundle or a newer indie. Set a reminder for Thursdays and claim whatever is live that week in November 2026.
Free streaming on Tubi and other ad-supported services

If you just want holiday movies on in the background, Tubi stays free all month and keeps adding new titles. Pluto TV and Freevee do the same.
None of these require a credit card, so you can stream from a smart TV or browser while you wrap, bake, or work your side hustle. It is the cheapest entertainment you can get in November.
Free restaurant meals for veterans and active-duty

Every November, big chains publish a Veterans Day menu that is free for people who can show proof of service. You’ll usually see sit-down places at the top of the list, like Chili’s, Golden Corral’s Military Appreciation Night, Red Robin’s free Red’s Big Tavern Burger, and Texas Roadhouse, which hands out meal vouchers from the parking lot on Veterans Day at many stores.
Most of these offers are dine-in only, limited to select menu items, and good only on November 11. Bring military ID, a VA card, or other proof of service, and look up your exact restaurant’s page the morning you go, because hours and participation can vary by franchise.
Free coffee, doughnuts and snacks for veterans

Plenty of national brands thank vets with a free drink or treat on November 11. Starbucks has been running a free tall hot or iced coffee for veterans, service members, and their spouses on Veterans Day for years. Krispy Kreme often adds a free doughnut on top of a free coffee for vets on the day . Dunkin typically lists its Veterans Day offer on its newsroom page in early November.
These are quick, walk-in freebies, which makes them perfect if you do not want to sit down for a full meal. Check each brand’s 2026 Veterans Day news post before you head out, because some locations do drive-thru only or end the freebie once daily allotments run out.
Free haircuts for veterans

Great Clips has already had more than a decade of giving vets and active-duty members a free haircut or a free haircut card on November 11, and this is the kind of campaign they renew every year. Sport Clips runs a similar offer at participating stores.
Walk in on Veterans Day, show proof of service, and you either get cut that day or you get a card you can use later in the month. Non-military customers can sometimes pick up a card to pass to a veteran, so it is an easy freebie to collect even if the service member cannot get to the shop on the 11th.
Free car wash for veterans

Regional car-wash chains regularly open the tunnel for free on November 11. Hoffman Car Wash, for example, tells vets, active duty, and retired military to come in for a free Ultimate Wash on Veterans Day and posts the details right on its site every year.
If you are not in Hoffman’s area, check the car-wash chains near you in late October. This is a very common Veterans Day gesture, and it is one of the few truly free car-care things you can do before winter grime hits.
Free entertainment with your library card

Lots of U.S. libraries give you Hoopla or Kanopy logins, which means free movies, shows, audiobooks, and even magazines in November. You just need an active card at a participating library.
Hoopla in particular runs “BingePasses” that unlock a whole collection for a week, also free, which is perfect for holiday travel when you do not want to pay for streaming.

Birthday freebies if your birthday is in November

Plenty of loyalty programs hand you something free during your birthday month. Starbucks gives Rewards members a free drink or food item on the actual day. Sephora Beauty Insider posts the year’s birthday gift on its site and lets you claim it in your birthday month. Ulta does the same for Ultamate Rewards members.
As long as your birthday is in November 2026 and your birthdate is in your profile, you can stack several of these in the same week. Most of them are truly free, no purchase needed in store.
Local Veterans Day extras

Local media rollups in early November list freebies like free car washes, free admission to small museums, and free local meals for vets. These are real, local offers that vets and often active duty personnel can make use of. Search your city name plus “Veterans Day 2026 free” the week before and you can usually grab at least one more no-spend perk on the 11th.
We also put together a list of all the Veterans Day freebies and discounts we could find for 2026.
