Some employers go hunting for extra remote help every year when holiday orders, returns, and customer messages spike. If you’d rather skip the generic “remote customer service” listings and apply straight with companies that actually post these roles, start here. Always check the careers page first, because listings change fast and many are state-specific.
Amazon

Amazon is the obvious first stop. In some seasons they post “Virtual Customer Service” or “Work From Home” roles to handle order issues, Prime questions, and gifts. Check the remote section regularly because those openings go quickly.
Some roles are state-limited, so read the location notes before you apply.
Williams-Sonoma (includes Pottery Barn, West Elm)

Williams-Sonoma is well known for hiring seasonal, fully remote customer care agents to help with holiday gift orders, damaged deliveries, and substitutions. They usually provide training and equipment.
These jobs often require nights or weekends during peak weeks, so they’re good if you can flex your schedule in December.
Wayfair

Wayfair ramps up support ahead of the holidays for furniture, décor, and gift orders. Look for “Virtual Service Consultant” or customer service/sales roles on their site.
You’ll help shoppers track large-item deliveries and fix order problems, all from home.
QVC / HSN (Qurate Retail Group)

Home shopping brands see a huge holiday rush and bring on extra remote agents to take orders and answer product questions. Both QVC and HSN sit under Qurate, so check there first.
Calls are usually straightforward and script-driven, which makes this a good entry-level seasonal job.
Concentrix, Foundever, and Alorica

These big customer-experience companies staff holiday support for multiple brands at once, and a lot of it is remote. If one doesn’t have openings, try the others.
You might answer for retail, delivery, or even travel clients in December, so flexibility helps.
KellyConnect and TTEC

Staffing/BPO firms like KellyConnect and TTEC often post “seasonal customer service” or “temporary remote” roles and place you with their clients for the holiday period.
This is a good route if you want one application to open the door to several possible projects.
Target (virtual guest services, when available)

Most Target holiday hiring is in-store, but some years they also post virtual guest services or order support roles to help with Target.com and Drive Up orders. Keep an eye on the corporate/remote listings.
These roles go fast because people want Target on their resume and the jobs are at home.
Macy’s and Bloomingdale’s

Macy’s adds a lot of people in Q4, and some of that is remote customer care to deal with gift orders and store pickup questions. Bloomingdale’s sits under the same parent company, so check both.
Expect to work peak days like Black Friday/Cyber Monday if you land one of these.
Teleperformance

Teleperformance supports a lot of big-name brands and often lists U.S. work-from-home roles near the holidays for chat, phone, or email support.
Schedules can be nights or weekends, which makes it a good second-job option.
Intuit

Intuit is best known for remote tax-season work, but they also post product support and customer success roles that can overlap the holidays, especially as people buy software and need setup help .
If you like the brand, this can be a nice way to get in before tax season ramps up.
The White Company and similar catalog/home brands

Some catalog or home-goods retailers post “seasonal customer advisor – remote” roles to keep up with holiday gift orders. The White Company is one example.
Check similar brands you shop from, because many use the same year-end model even if they don’t advertise it loudly.
Disney / shopDisney guest services

Disney merchandise and shopDisney sometimes add extra guest service reps to handle high-demand products and holiday delivery questions. These can be remote and state-limited, so read the listing carefully.
It’s very policy- and brand-focused, but fun if you like Disney products.
UPS and FedEx partner support

Shipping volume explodes in December, so UPS and FedEx, plus companies that support them, add people to help customers track packages and fix address issues.
Not every role is remote, but it’s worth checking because contact-center work is easier to do from home.
Tutor.com, VIPKid, and online tutoring platforms

Some tutoring platforms have more sessions to fill when kids are off school or traveling, so it’s a decent seasonal-from-home option if you’re already approved.
You can pick up evening or weekend blocks around your regular job.
Liveops

Liveops contracts with different companies and lets you choose programs that fit your schedule. Around the holidays, that often includes retail and order-taking clients .
Because it’s contractor work, you have more control over hours, which is useful in December when life gets chaotic.
