Let’s be real. When I write on this blog every week, I’m really writing to myself. Girlfriend loves to hear herself talk! But wait, what? It’s not all about me? Oh yeah. You. YOU! Who are you? Where do you live? How old are you? Divorced? Married? Are you also a single mom? Thinking about becoming a parent on your own? Or are you a voyeur, fantasizing, wondering, peeking in?

I want to know all about you. Please take 5 minutes and complete this survey for a chance to win a $200 Amazon.com gift card!

  1. Widowed mom — age 48 — widowed at age 39 (son is now 14), I am one of those moms who lives for her child, but I also work towards making him independent so that both he and I can live when he is grown. For me, I do yoga at a local gym several times a week — that is my “me time.” As a high school teacher, I see too many children who do not feel important to anyone. I feel he is my first priority. I enjoy him and his friends in my home often. When he heads off to college in a few years, I hope to find a new love. Right now, I don’t need the stress of trying to be in a relationship, raising a son, and working a full-time job.

  2. Hi Kathy – Thanks for sharing. Sounds like you’ve thought through the many parts of your life. And when you do feel ready to date I hope you find it more fun than stressful!

  3. Hi Kathy! I love reading the blog and following along. I am also a single mom of two daughters. I am divorced and work two jobs. I live in Southern California and raise my daughters on my own (except for every other weekend). I coach soccer, Girl Scout Troop mom, full time-student, and small business owner for a direct sales home party business. I think that being a single mom is a lot of work in itself, so I am happy to say that I have some amazing friends and family who are always there when I need them! Any down time I have (ha ha what is that) is spent doing something fun with the kids, or just resting on the couch with my English Bulldog, a movie, and a glass of wine!

Thanks for taking the time to read this! XO
